A fancy spring take on a simple gin and juice cocktail using extra dry gin and Cointreau to complement the fruity fresh notes of passion fruit and mango then topped off with the refreshing fizz of lemon-lime soda.
This passion fruit gin & juice is so simple to make and with this modern twist your guests are sure to be impressed!
Ingredients for the best gin & juice
- Extra dry gin. My spirit of choice of spring and/or fruity cocktails – I used this one by Seagram’s. It has notes of lilac, juniper and orange peel to complement the rest of the cocktail
- Triple Sec Liqueur. An orange-flavored liqueur to drive home the floral notes of this spring cocktail. My choice for this cocktail is this classic by Cointreau – it renders a very clean and intense citrus profile that is ideal for this gin & juice recipe. Grand Marnier is another great triple sec option however it uses cognac a its spirit base so there will be an element of aging in the final flavor profile which doesn’t per se ruin this cocktail but could muddy some of the floral notes.
- Passion fruit pulp. A refreshing and unique splash of tart in this cocktail. Strain the seeds or leave them in the cocktail – I’ll leave that up to you and your preference!
- Mango Juice. A classic tropical flavor; this is where most of the sweetness of our cocktail comes from!
- Lemon-Lime Soda. The perfect finish for a refreshing spring cocktail. It mixes things up for a lively mouthfeel to avoid a one-note cocktail
- Mint leaves. I use mine as a garnish but level up the freshness of this cocktail by muddling a handful of mint leaves in your cocktail shaker before adding the rest of your ingredients.

Method
- If muddling mint, add the mint to the cocktail shaker and muddle well.
- Fill cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients except for soda (mango juice, passion fruit pulp, triple sec liqueur & extra dry gin) and shake well.
- Divide equally between 2 rocks glasses filled with ice, top off with your lemon lime soda and garnish with mint leaves!
- Enjoy immediately to get the most from your soda fizz!
